Pinky Up!
The extremely demure woman that has been doing her Assistant Manager training in our store is proving to be quite the character. And by “character”, I mean “complete psycho who was obviously raised by ill-mannered wolves”.
This week she is learning the ropes in the Deli Dept and today was helping in the prep room. It’s not rocket science, making sandwiches and salads and pizzas, all of which there are simple recipes for. The young guy she was working alongside today took a bathroom break the same time I did, and, from inside the Ladies, I heard:
*poundpoundpound*
“WHAT??”
“Just wanted to let you know I’m out here, waiting for you. I’m gonna pull up a chair.”
“Whatever.”
A few minutes later…
*flush*
*door open*
“Jesus fucking Christ that took a long time! What were you doing in there, whacking off?”
Seriously. Someone interviewed this woman and decided she was fit for hire. THAT person should be fired. Or at least scalded with hot tea tipped from bone china.

your workplace toilet story reminded me of my own work toilet experience – I called my boss on his cell because I couldn’t reach him at his desk phone… he answers, said he’s in the office, I tell him what I need to tell him, he chats with me a little while, then I hear a toilet flush…. Nasty. You should create a workplace toilet etiquette list for your readers to post at their offices.

I have had students and parents follow me into the bathroom to ask me questions. The nerve!

Is she Eastern European? Because EE think it’s perfectly acceptable to talk to people when they’re in the bathroom.

Why am I so reminded of all the idiot bosses I have had to train over the years? Yes, she will be a rising star for years to come until she pulls that crap on the wrong person and *poof* gone without a trace as she is beamed up to the mother ship… or pursues a career in politics to which she seems wholly suited given her crass demeanor and arrogance…
